Not only did oil break $100/barrel despite widespread disbelief, it is now knocking on the door of $120/barrel. The strength in oil prices is even taking even the most ardent energy bulls by surprised despite a U.S. slowdown. Some attribute the rise in both gold and oil to the weakness in the dollar, but the decline in the dollar can only explain part of the move in oil and gold.
