This week’s program continues on last week’s theme of maximizing Social Security benefits. This week however, Jim and John will focus on Social Security as it applies to women, be they single, married, divorced or widowed. They discuss the types of benefits, and how to create a plan to maximize those benefits. Statistically, women outlive men, so most married women are likely to be the one receiving survivor benefits, which must be considered in the planning process. They illustrate some of these issues with the case study of Tom and Sandy Benson. The guest this week is attorney Adam Sherry, who will discuss estate planning strategies for everyone, single or married, young or old, rich or less than rich.
