SP500 and Natural Gas Short Term Trend Charts

The broad markets along with metals have been on fire but in the last two weeks we have seen the sentiment become stronger. The extreme bullishness we are seeing has made it difficult for low risk swing traders to get in on the action simply because there have not been many sizable pullbacks. Instead the prices have been inching their way higher with very minor pullbacks before surging again.

How To Trade the Fed Induced Equties Rally

How to trade this stock market rally

Its been an interesting week with stocks, commodities and currencies having a knee jerk reaction to the FOMC minutes released Tuesday afternoon. In short the Fed clearly said there must be more quantitative easing before things will get better. It was this news which triggered a rally in both stocks and commodities. Quantitative easing is a fast way to devalue the dollar and the Fed is doing a great job at that. As long as the dollar continues to decline the stock market will keep rising.

Stock Market Leaders Are Now Lagging?

Wednesday’s session closed mixed on the day. The DOW posted a third of a percent gain while the tech sector closed down almost nine tenths of a percent. While technology stocks have been leading the market higher in the recent months, today they took the back seat while the DOW took control.

Gold Stocks, SP500 & the Dollar – What’s Next?

Stocks & commodities about to turn

As we all know the market has a way of making sure the majority of traders miss major turning points. The saying is, “If the market doesn’t shake you out, it will wear you out” and it seems we are getting the later…

S&P 500, Oil, Gold & Dollar

Wednesday the market didn’t tell us anything new. The equities market is still over extended on the daily chart but the market is refusing to break down. Each time there has been seen selling in the market over the past two weeks, the market recovers. Equities and the dollar have been trading with an inverse relationship and it seems to drop every in value each selling pressure enters the market, which naturally lifts stocks.

Major Pivot Point Brewing for Metals, Oil and SP500

Metals, Oil and SP500 About to Lose Their Shine

In short, gold and silver are looking and feeling toppy here. While I am bullish on them long term, we could see sharp pullback which could take months to regain these prices. I am not short metals yet but very close to taking a short counter trend trade.

Investing in gold buying on drops and taking profits when overbought

How to navigate the gold sector

In short, Gold is in a strong up trend and will remain in one for a long time. Commodities have higher percentage of going parabolic. That means there’s a small chance that gold continues to move up quicker and quicker surging hundreds of dollars in a very short period of time. That being said, it’s not very likely, and from a technical point of view those buying gold now are paying a premium in my opinion.

Precious Metals Equity Index Form a Triple Top, What’s Next?

Gold, Silver and PM Stocks On Edge

In short, I feel precious metals are on the verge of a sharp correction which may only last a few days, but the drop will be substantial. I still think we could see a few more up days or sideways session before this happens as the June high for gold bullion should be penetrated before the market truly reverses back down.

SP500 & Gold At Crucial Pivot Points

Wednesday was a big session with better than expected manufacturing surging the market 3%. In this article I will do a quick technical take on the current situation for the SP500 and gold as they are both trading at a key resistance level. also its important to know what type of price action we will get in the next 1-2 days so you can have your profit targets or protective stops in place depending on which side of the market you are currently playing.

Are Gold & SP500 Topping Out Here?

Prices continue to churn as traders and investors try to figure if they want their hard earned dollar in cash or investments. The market is very jittery simply because no one wants to get caught on the wrong side of the market if it makes another 30-40% move, which is why we are seeing money rotate in and out each with very little commitment and follow through. Until a major trend looks to be in place most investors will not me holding many positions over night or through the weekend.

Gold, Oil, SP500 & Dollar At Key Pivot Points

Last week was exciting as investments rocketed higher or tank… We saw Gold and the US Dollar pop while oil and equities dropped sharply with heavy volume.

Volume by Price Reveals Key Support & Resistance Levels

I find it amazing how many traders do not use volume as a factor in their trading decisions. I believe it’s always important to track the volume no matter which time frame you are trading simply because it tell you how much interest there is for that investment at that given time and price level.

Yellow & Black Gold Shine Compared to the SP500

Commodities have been shining recently as the US Dollar loses its luster for investors. Also the weakening dollar has helped boost equities as a lower US dollar helps the large multi national companies. This report is a quick follow up from the Weekend report showing what the odds were favoring which was higher gold, oil and sp500. As of today each investment is unfolding as planned, once candle at a time.

How to Find Low Risk SP500, Gold & Oil ETF Setups

As we all know there is an unlimited amount of ways to trade the financial markets. Each person sees the market in a different way, has different skill sets, trading experience and risk tolerance levels. While some individuals create and use complete systems to make money there are some very basic trading strategies which still work well and require nothing more than basic charting, patients and a little money management.

How To Be Positioned for SP500, Gold & Oil

The second half of last week we saw some strong price action in the equities market. The SP500 broke through the 5 and 50 day moving averages closing the week just under key resistance levels. The SP500 futures will find resistance at the June high $1099.25, $1100 which is whole number then at $1103 which is the 200 day moving average. Each of these are clumped together making it really just one solid area which sellers will be waiting to short the market.

Gold, Oil and SP500 Trading Patterns

It was an interesting options expiration week for equities that’s for sure. We saw some very choppy price action with large waves of buying and selling as the bulls and bears fought for control.

Gold, Black Gold and Equities Technical Charts

It’s been a short but exciting week so far. Investors and traders are have been scratching their heads the past few days as stocks continued to bounce around giving mixed signals. But today was a clear day of short covering from this much oversold market condition.

The Technical Traders View on Gold, SPX and Financial

It was a non stop sell off last week in equities as the SP500 sold down 4 days straight with a small move up on Friday. While investors were cashing out of stocks, we saw that money move into the big shiny yellow safe haven - Gold.

Dow, Gold & Oil are Breaking Out or Bouncing

Over the years we have seen the stock market make some pretty exciting moves for share holders. This year alone there have been some interesting events unfold causing wild market swings which most of us did not think could happen.

A Colorful View on SPX, Gold & Oil

Sp500, Gold and Oil Trading Trends

In short, I think the market is on the verge of another rally which is very exciting since we cashed out in late April before the market had the big sell off. It will be nice to put some long term plays to work so we are not so dependent on the short intraday plays which last 1-2 days because of the extreme volatility in the market.
