Biography
Mr. Brown has been working in the oil and gas industry in Texas since 1980. He has discovered several oil and gas fields and he is currently managing an aggressive exploration program integrating remote sensing data with an extensive subsurface database in order to find small, but commercial oil and gas fields in this mature play.
He has been studying the Peak Oil issue, at first because of its impact on oil prices, and later out of a concern for the dire implications of Peak Oil on the U.S. and world economies. Since 2005 he has been working with Samuel Foucher to help develop and interpret global oil production modeling. Together they developed a loyal following of readers that have emulated their accuracy and added analytical depth to this, THE global problem of the millennia. This group that they have inspired has brought peak oil and it effects to the forefront of world economic thought.
Jeffrey, with his oil and gas exploration and production experience from West Texas, is most likely the global leader in interpreting the analytical modeling of these phenomena. He has been speaking on the subject nationwide and is the co-developer of the Export Land Model as a way to predict future export capacity from the world’s major oil exporters. In 2007, he delivered a paper to the Association for the Study of Peak Oil & Gas--USA, presenting the work that he and his frequent co-author, Samuel Foucher, have done on the top five net oil-exporting countries.
Jeffrey provides leadership and interpretation of global oil production and demand modeling as well as oil pricing for logi Energy's Peak Oil Value Fund. He has his BS in Geophysics from Texas A&M and is a licensed Professional Geoscientist in the State of Texas.
