Dave Lauer

Dave Lauer is a Market Structure and Technology Architecture Consultant. His most recent work includes public policy with Better Markets and technology architecture with IEX, a new equity market. Previously, he worked as a senior quantitative analyst at Allston Trading and Citadel Investment Group. Prior to his career as a researcher and trader, he also worked at Tervela helping many prominent financial services firms design and build high-performance, low latency trading hardware with a specialty in understanding the complexities of the rapidly evolving electronic marketplace both before and after Reg NMS was implemented. In his spare time, he helps to build and run Cowbird, a story-telling website. He has a Master’s degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and grew up in Southern New Jersey.
